1. Platform Overview
Anymo is a platform that connects people who wish to rent out their products with people who wish to rent them. We act solely as an intermediary to facilitate these transactions.
Anymo is currently in its early-access (MVP) phase and operates as a listing and discovery platform only. In-app payments and in-app identity verification (KYC) are not yet available. Anymo does not process, hold, or transfer any money. All actual payments, security deposits, and identity checks are made in person, directly between the renter and the product owner. The app may let an owner record a deposit amount for their own reference, but the money itself is always collected in person outside the platform. Features, availability, and supported regions may change as we develop the platform.
Because Anymo currently functions only as a listing and discovery platform, Anymo is not a party to any rental and is not responsible for any issues, losses, damages, theft, fraud, identity misrepresentation, deposit handling, or disputes arising from a rental. Owners and renters transact with each other at their own risk and are solely responsible for verifying the other party and the item before any handover.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to use Anymo. By using this platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Identity Verification (KYC)
Important: In-app identity verification (KYC) is not yet available in the current version of Anymo. Until it is, product owners are responsible for verifying the identity of every renter in person, at the time of handover, before releasing any item. We strongly recommend that owners check a valid government-issued photo ID (such as Aadhaar, driving licence, or passport) and collect a security deposit in person, in cash or by direct transfer, as a condition of any rental. Anymo does not process or hold this deposit; any deposit amount shown in the app is only a record entered by the owner. Anymo does not perform, validate, or store the identity verification and is not responsible for the identity, conduct, or trustworthiness of any user.
The Aadhaar-based KYC and Cashfree vendor onboarding described below will apply once in-app verification is enabled. They do not currently gate any activity on the platform.
When enabled, Anymo will require Aadhaar verification for every user who transacts on the platform — whether you are renting an item, listing one, or both. Verification is performed by Cashfree Payments (RBI-licensed) via their KYC Stack. Your Aadhaar number is submitted directly on Cashfree's hosted form and is{" "} not stored by Anymo. Anymo stores only the verified name, date of birth, gender, address, and last-4 of your Aadhaar number, for the purpose of fulfilling rental obligations and meeting regulatory requirements. A verification link expires 72 hours after issue; you may request a new link any time, subject to a limit of 5 attempts per 24-hour rolling window.
Cashfree vendor onboarding (PAN + bank-account verification) remains a separate requirement for users who want to receive rental payouts. It is not a substitute for Aadhaar KYC because the same user may also rent items.
4. Limitation of Liability
Anymo currently operates as a listing and discovery platform only. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the app owners, operators, and affiliates of Anymo are not responsible or accountable for any product damages, losses, theft, fraud, identity misrepresentation, security deposits, or any disputes that may arise between the parties involved in a rental transaction. Anymo does not process, hold, or transfer any money; identity verification (KYC) and security deposits are handled in person, directly between owner and renter, and Anymo is not a party to and bears no responsibility for them. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
All rental agreements, product conditions, pricing, and return policies are solely between the renter and the product owner. Anymo does not guarantee the condition, quality, or availability of any listed item.
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
5. User Responsibilities
By using Anymo, you acknowledge that you bear full responsibility for your products and any transactions conducted through the platform.
You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials. Any activity under your account is your responsibility.
6. Listing Accuracy
Product owners must provide accurate, truthful descriptions and images of listed items. Misrepresenting item condition, availability, or pricing is a violation of these terms and may result in account suspension.
7. Owner Discretion to Decline or Withdraw Rentals
Product owners have the sole discretion to decide whom they rent their products to. An owner may decline a rental request, withdraw a product from being rented to a particular customer, or cancel a pending rental at any time, for any reason they deem appropriate (for example, concerns about the product's safety, suitability, the intended use, or the customer's conduct or communication).
This discretion must not be exercised on grounds prohibited by applicable law, including discrimination based on caste, religion, race, sex, place of birth, disability, or any other protected characteristic under Indian law. Anymo does not guarantee that any listing will be rented to any particular user, and is not a party to and not liable for an owner's decision to decline or withdraw a rental.
Where a rental is withdrawn after a booking has been confirmed, owners are expected to refund any amounts already collected from the renter, in accordance with the rental agreement between the parties and applicable law.
8. Prohibited Activities and Restricted Items
You agree not to use Anymo for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to: listing stolen, illegal, or hazardous items; engaging in fraudulent transactions; harassing other users; or attempting to circumvent platform security.
During the MVP phase, the following categories and items are not permitted to be listed on Anymo, because they require regulatory approvals, licensing, or verification workflows that are not yet supported on the platform. Listings in these categories will be removed and may result in account suspension:
- Vehicles and transport — bikes, scooters, cars, trailers, or any motorised vehicle (regulated under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the Rent-a-Cab Scheme, 1989).
- Drones and unmanned aircraft — regulated under the Drone Rules, 2021 (DGCA).
- Medical and health devices — including mobility aids, regulated under the Medical Devices Rules, 2017 and the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
- Child safety items — car seats, cribs, strollers, and other safety-critical baby and kids' gear (subject to BIS standards and product-liability obligations under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019).
- Firearms, ammunition, and weapons (Arms Act, 1959).
- Alcohol, tobacco, and controlled substances (state Excise Acts and the NDPS Act, 1985).
- Wildlife products and antiquities (Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and Antiquities and Art Treasures Act, 1972).
- Counterfeit, infringing, or stolen goods.
- Any item the listing or use of which would violate applicable law or third-party rights.
Anymo reserves the right to update the list of permitted and restricted categories from time to time. The current set of permitted categories is shown in the app at the point of listing.
9. Payment Integrity & Platform Commission
Note: In-app payments are not yet available in the current version. The following terms will apply once payment features are enabled.
Rental amounts, deposits, installments, and extra charges must be recorded truthfully in the app. Owners must not under-report totals or omit charges that were actually collected. Renters must not collude to pay part of the rental outside the app while keeping a lower amount on-record.
Arranging side payments, off-platform transfers, or any scheme to evade the platform's commission on the full rental value is strictly prohibited and undermines fair use of Anymo for all users.
Violations of this section may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban, forfeiture of outstanding balances where permitted by law, and any other action we deem appropriate. We may cooperate with payment partners and authorities where relevant.
Owners must not use Anymo listings, chat, or discovery primarily to move customers off-platform so that future rentals or payments happen entirely outside the app (for example exchanging phone numbers to take all repeat business via WhatsApp or call) in order to avoid platform commission. Such conduct is a violation of these Terms.
When you change a rental end date or add an extra charge to an order, you must enter a mandatory reason. Anymo stores these changes in an audit log. We may use this log to detect abuse, enforce these Terms (including suspension or permanent ban), and support investigations into fraud or commission evasion.
10. Intellectual Property
The Anymo name, logo, and app design are the property of Anymo. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our written consent.
By uploading product photos, brand logos, or other content to Anymo, you retain ownership of your content but grant Anymo a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the platform for the purpose of operating the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
You represent and warrant that any content you upload — including product photos, brand logos, and descriptions — and any item you list does not infringe the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property or proprietary rights of any third party. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you hold all rights necessary for the content you upload, and you agree to indemnify Anymo against any claim arising from content or listings that infringe a third party's rights.
11. Intellectual Property Complaints & Content Takedown
If you believe that any content or listing on Anymo infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, you may notify our Grievance Officer at admin@anymo.app. Please include enough detail to identify the content or listing, a description of the right you claim, and your contact information. We will review valid complaints promptly and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the content.
Anymo will remove or disable access to any content or listing on receipt of a valid order from a court or government authority, within the timelines required by applicable law — including within 36 hours where required under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 — and will otherwise act expeditiously upon obtaining actual knowledge of unlawful content.
Anymo maintains a record of users whose content or listings are repeatedly removed or disabled under copyright, trademark, or information technology laws, and may suspend or permanently ban repeat infringers.
12. Account Termination & Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Upon deletion, your profile will be deactivated and you will no longer receive notifications or be visible to other users.
Anymo reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or any conduct that harms the platform or its users, without prior notice.
Order and transaction records may be retained after account deletion for legal and accounting purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Dispute Resolution
Anymo is not a party to rental agreements between users. Any disputes regarding product condition, pricing, returns, or damages must be resolved directly between the parties involved.
If you have a dispute with another user, we encourage you to first attempt to resolve it through the in-app messaging feature. Anymo may, at its sole discretion, assist in mediation but is under no obligation to do so.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anymo, its owners, operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these terms, or your rental transactions with other users.
15. Privacy & Data
Anymo collects and processes personal data such as your name, contact details, and location to provide and improve our services. Your data will not be sold to third parties. By using the platform, you consent to this data collection and processing in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (2023), you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise these rights through the app or by contacting our Grievance Officer, Sandeep Jayakumar, at admin@anymo.app (Kochi, Kerala, India). We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days, in line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
16. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kochi, Kerala.
17. Modifications
Anymo reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the app.
